INTRODUCTION

Marine Environmental and Molecular Toxicology Lab.

Marine Environmental and Molecular Toxicology Laboratory conducts a systematic analysis of the biological phenomena of aquatic organisms, including oceans, at the individual-cell-molecular level, understanding their functions, and an integrated environmental toxicity study to develop biomarkers that can evaluate toxicity in the aquatic ecosystems and in the human body.

In recent years, we are focusing on the development of genetic biomarkers for nanomaterials and various environmental hazards (such as VOCs, POPs, EDCs, PAHs, and heavy metals) and the development of toolkits that can be used for monitoring them, and the development of biomarkers for mechanism-based toxicity assessment in marine life species.
